After reading several forum posts about web hosting, I noticed a trend in the questions asked by those looking for their first web host, “Who offers the best ‘bang for my buck’ and where should I host my site?”

This is a question with no solid answer.  Ask ten different people and get ten different answers.  Of course I think my Managed Hosting is the best, but managed hosting isn’t for everyone.  ‘Techies’ tend to prefer more of a do-it-yourself setup and like to be in direct control of all aspects of their hosting.  Most folks, however,  have no idea what they need, much less what they want.

So, what I am going to offer from now on is a month of free managed hosting service for every website I design.  This should give my clients plenty of time to do a little more research and figure out what’s best for them.  This should also give them a chance to experience the ease of managed hosting.  Most importantly, it will give my clients a chance to ask questions about hosting before they decide … even if it involves other companies.
